ABOUT ME

Thanks for stopping by! Let me quickly introduce myself!

Hi, I’m Ashley Sweeney. I’m a Registered Dietitian, mom of three, military spouse, and someone who genuinely loves helping women feel better in their bodies and more confident feeding their families.

For nearly 15 years, I’ve helped women simplify nutrition, find relief from confusing symptoms, and support their families without losing themselves in the process.

As a mom, I get how chaotic life can be. As a dietitian, I know that most women don’t need another meal plan… they need better tools, clear answers, and someone in their corner. I help women cut through the noise with real food, gut and hormone testing, and a practical approach that works in real life (even with picky kids, sports nights, and zero time).

Here is my Nutrition Philosophy

  • Food should always taste good
  • Meal time should be enjoyable for the whole family
  • Cut out as much artificial foods, processed junk food, pre-made meals, etc. as possible
  • Never grocery shop on an empty stomach
  • There are no “bad foods” or “good foods.” Just “once in a while foods” and “better choice" foods. All foods should fit within a well-balanced eating pattern
  • Our diet isn’t something that defines us
  • Eat more plants
  • The eat less, move more mentality behind weight loss doesn’t work. There are more factors at play
  • Our gut is central to our health and needs to be taken care of
  • Variety is the spice of life and phasing is key
  • The nutrition world is overwhelming, but what we eat at home doesn’t have to be hard
  • You’re in charge of what your kids eat at home and how they grow to learn to love and explore new foods… make it fun and start it young to raise healthy, adventurous eaters
  • The world is full of junk food and processed options, and it’s exhausting to be the one in charge of navigating it all… but it’s worth it!

My Story

We’re a military family that has moved all over the world. From Michigan to Georgia, California, Italy, and now Alaska, I’ve seen firsthand how food and lifestyle differ across cultures. That perspective influences how I approach nutrition today with more flexibility, less processed food, and a deeper focus on what actually makes us feel good.

There have been a lot of ups and downs along the way. I’ve always been open and honest about the challenges of our lifestyle. Constant moves, solo parenting during deployments, and the mental load of raising three kids while trying to take care of myself have shaped the way I work and the way I support other women. Motherhood isn’t easy, and I don’t pretend it is. That’s exactly why I care so much about making nutrition doable and sustainable for women and families in the real world.

Always with a coffee in hand, I believe the little things matter and that taking care of yourself doesn’t have to be perfect to make a difference.

My Background

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Syracuse University and completed my Dietetic Internship and Master’s in Public Health Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University. My focus has always been on supporting women and families through every stage of life. I’ve worked in gym settings, with moms and babies, and served as director of both nonprofit community programs and large-scale virtual health and wellness programs.

For the past eight years, I was the director of Phase It, a functional nutrition program helping women navigate hormonal changes, gut health, and long-term weight loss through sustainable nutrition. I recently stepped down from the director role but continue to serve as the lead dietitian and advisor, making sure women are still supported with real food, quality testing, and personalized tools that work.

Before that, I created Mommy Feeding Family, a program designed to help moms feel more confident feeding their families with less stress and more ease around meals.

Now, I primarily work with women who are dealing with symptoms like bloating, fatigue, irregular cycles, brain fog, or digestive issues that haven’t improved with surface-level advice. I use functional lab testing, practical nutrition strategies, and a family-first approach to help them feel better and bring that energy back into their homes.
