Things have been pretty hectic lately, but all in a very good way! Back in Jul, we found out where Pat worked, 3rd ID was deactivating. So soldiers assigned to this Divison would all be re-located or re-assigned new positions. Since we had been there for a few years, we were told we were definitely going to be moving.

A few different possibilities came and went in that time. I’ve learned to not get my heart set on any one option too much unil we arrive at the door. There are just too many uncertainties with the Army. Last time we thought we were going to Italy, I even had a job lined up… but we ended up in Georgia. Not quite as exciting and we were pretty bummed to say the least.

Moving in! I’m getting lots of help from this toddler. We took a few breaks to the mall for last minute shopping and to see the beautiful tree and display!

We ended up absolutely loving our time at Fort Benning! I think that the community has so much to offer if you’re willing to step out of your comfort zone. I had fantastic neighbors, great friends, and loved exploring all the hidden treasures Columbus, Georgia had to offer!

As of middle of November we actually had orders to Washington D.C. and were going to move there in March! Not even a week later, Pat found out he was hand picked for a job here in Savannah, and he was supposed to start there 5 days later! This all happened around Thanksgiving, and sure enough, 2 weeks later we were packing up a moving truck!

I think we are going to like living here. Bella and I have explored around Forsyth Park and Tybee Island!

Normally the Army would do the packing and moving for you. However, since it all happened so fast, transportation wouldn’t have been able to move us for a few months. So instead of Pat commuting across the state week after week and being apart from one another, we decided to move ourselves. Thank goodness for good friends who were willing to help us!

So now, we are slowly getting settled in to our new house in Savanah. The house doesn’t have the same historic charm, but it’s nice living in a little updated place! Our friends visited us for an early Christmas celebration and we spent 2 days exploring the new city with good food, good drinks and company! I’ve never lived somewhere when you walk into a bar and they ask you if you want your drink for here or to go? Savannah has an open container law you can walk around with drinks and explore the city!

Great friends visiting us in Savannah! Here we are downtown in City Market!

As for my business, it is one of the reasons I’ve created the lifestyle and business I have. I can make my own hours, I never had to give a 2 week notice, I am still earning a paycheck, and it’s all based on my schedule. 99% of my clients are virtual, so we communicate via email, phone or video conference.

I’m extremely grateful everyone has been so understanding of my crazy schedule lately and had to re-schedule if needed. The holiday season is just starting for us with Christmas, New Years and family visiting, but all work that needs to get done will get done, and I am so excited about 2016 and all of the big things happening!

Our new home is the perfect FRESH start we needed!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

May this holiday season sparkle and shine, may all of your wishes and dreams come true, and may you feel this happiness all year round
