Sorry I’ve been MIA lately!
This post and blog post has nothing related to nutrition… except that I consider you all friends in some way or another, so I thought i’d update you on LIFE lately! 🙂
It feels like it wasn’t that long ago that I was writing about our move to Savannah! And now, we just crossed the country to Arizona!! Unlike our last move in December 2015 where we found out and had to move ourselves within 2 weeks, we knew this Army move was coming!
My husband recently got promoted, and because of that promotion he has to go to his next “Career Course,” and his just so happens to be based out of Arizona! We let the Army do most of the heavy work this time with our move with the packing and driving all the goods across the country. The army calls this a PCS move- permanent change of station (I think thats what it stands for). “Permanent” is all relative though, because his course is only 5 months long and then we may be moving again after that!
My two daughters and I flew to visit my mom and sister in Phoenix for about 10 days while the movers did all the work. That flight was a whole different story (for our crazy flight story click here).
We had a great time visiting my mom, sister, niece and nephews! It was also a chance for me to “unplug” for work and social media because my mom doesn’t have wifi and lives out in the mountains North of the city, so we had basically ZERO service. This is why i was slow to respond to any messages, emails or texts lately, sorry about that!
During that time, Teagan started to cut teeth, Bella was sick, I got sick, we were adjusting to the time changes… and even though we had SO much fun, it was a rough transition.
Once all of our household goods arrived, my mom drove us to meet my husband and start the unpacking. We have become experts at getting settled really quickly. With the chance of us only being here for 5 months, i want to make this house feel like HOME as soon as possible so we can really relax and just BE HOME! So that is what we do. We spent 3 days doing nothing but unpacking boxes and getting settled in. Thank goodness my mom was here to help entertain the babies (and unpack) to help us!
I just wanted to say thank you for those who have wished us safe travels or shared my excitement when posting about our new house! Now, once I get over this nasty cold/infection… we can get back to normal, work on sleep training the baby, potty training the toddler, and have fun!
If you haven’t already seen the newest updated site with ways we can work together, take a look here at a section of my updated site: Work Together Here.
Thanks again for your friendship & support during this transition! Stay tuned in the next few months for more challenges, workshops, classes and e-books coming your way!
