Anyone else love a simple, easy, blender soup recipe? Who knew that you could do so much with the handy, dandy Vitamix? I certainly didn’t think it would become a daily appliance in my household. I use my Vitamix for making 131 Blender Bread (a favorite of mine from the 131 Method recipe collection), cashew butter, almond milk, smoothies, juices, and so much more! You’ll love this easy vitamix broccoli soup recipe!
What I love about this Vitamix and blender soup recipe is that because the Vitamix is so powerful, it heats and cooks it all at the same time. Keep it blending for 5-10 minutes on high (sorry, the noise can get annoying), but it’ll be delicious!
Make sure to plug this recipe into your weekly meal planning. Serve with some gluten free crackers, small salad or maybe some roasted veggies in the fall! This would go great with some Brussel Sprout Hash! Meal planning & meal prepping are my favorite topics to talk about. Interested in more help meal planning? Who knew that you could do so much with the handy, dandy Vitamix? I certainly didn’t think it would become a daily appliance in my household. I initially asked for the Vitamix with the intention of making baby food, which I did use often! I had fun making my own baby food, knowing what was in it, and providing optimal nutrition to my baby! Here is how I made prunes for my little ones, for example.

The Vitamix is so powerful that it cooks the broccoli and soup in less than 10 minutes! Have you ever made soup like this before? Seriously, all you need to do is trow everything in the blender and let it do it’s magic!
Simplicity is the beauty of the Vitamix. Other blender companies rely on multiple containers and accessories to accomplish what the Vitamix can do with one. The appliance is easy to use, with simple dials and best part…easy to clean. Put a drop of soap in the Vitamix with water, put on high, and it acts as a dishwasher on it’s own!

Going to make your broccoli cheddar soup….sounds yummy…love finding new and different recipes for my vitamix.
Thanks!
Great, enjoy! 🙂
Mine came out frothy and mint green. Did I do something wrong?
Did you cook the broccoli first? Did you leave it blending long enough, or maybe too long? How long were you blending it with your vitamix?
You might have put too much broccoli. Even an extra 1/2 or cup will make it more green.
Mine came out mint green too but the photo you posted looks more yellow. I cooked the broccoli and blended for 5 minutes
How did the taste turn out?
It tasted good but was a bit too puréed for my taste. I would have liked some of the broccoli pieces to still be in there but they were completely blended. I might try blending for less time next time and heating on the stove top if it isn’t hot enough.
You could leave some of your steamed broccoli to the side while you blend and then add to the purée if you’re having trouble getting the right consistency.
Good idea! You could definitely do that!
We really liked this recipe! We did save some extra Broccoli to cut up and add in to make it a little chunky.
Yay! thanks for sharing!
Love this soup so smooth and creamy
How many servings in this recipe? Looking for the nutritional info. Thanks
I cooked the broccoli first in microwave. Used half and half & hit soup cycle on vitamix. It came out mint green & frothy too
Heart Warming! Perfect mix of flavors and so easy.
